Serviced to BS 5839-1

Fire alarm design, installation & maintenance

From a single-panel conventional system to a fully addressable network across multiple buildings - designed, installed, serviced and certificated by one local team.

The service

Detection you can rely on.

We specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems to BS 5839-1 - the standard your fire risk assessment, your insurer and the fire authority will all reference.

For new installations we survey your premises, agree the right category of system (from M to L1), and install with minimal disruption to your business. For existing systems we provide six-monthly or annual servicing, testing every device on a rotating schedule so the whole system is verified across the year.

  • System design to the right BS 5839-1 category for your risk
  • Installation of conventional & addressable systems
  • Six-monthly & annual servicing with device-level testing
  • Fault-finding, repairs & panel replacements
  • Certification & logbook entries on every visit
  • Takeover of systems installed by other companies

Every service visit ends with the certificate your compliance file needs - and if we find a fault, you get a clear, fixed price for the fix before any work goes ahead.

FAQs

Fire alarm questions.

Does my business legally need a fire alarm system?

The Fire Safety Order requires an "appropriate means of detection and warning" - what that means for your premises is set by your fire risk assessment. Many small, open-plan premises can rely on shouted warning; most others need an electrical system. We'll advise honestly on what your assessment actually requires.

Can you maintain a system another company installed?

Yes. We take over systems of all makes and ages. Our first visit includes a condition survey so you know exactly where the system stands before committing to anything.

What's the difference between conventional and addressable?

A conventional system tells you a zone is in alarm; an addressable system tells you the exact device. Addressable costs more up front but is faster to investigate and easier to maintain on larger sites. We'll recommend whichever genuinely suits your building.

Tell us about your system.

Panel make, zone count or just a photo of the panel - that's enough for us to price your servicing, usually the same day.
