Who we are

D & G Fire Ltd ("we", "us") is a fire protection and security company registered in England & Wales, with its head office at Unit 6 Rippleside Commercial Estate, Barking, Essex IG11 0RJ. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our services.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details - name, company, email address, phone number, site postcode and the information you include in your message when you contact us or use our quote form.
  • Customer records - contact details, site addresses, service history, certificates and invoicing information needed to deliver our services.
  • Technical data - basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used to keep the website secure and working.

How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interest / steps prior to a contract).
  • To deliver, schedule and invoice our services (performance of a contract).
  • To keep statutory service records and certificates (legal obligation and legitimate interest).
  • To send service-due reminders to existing customers (legitimate interest - you can opt out at any time).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Customer portal

If we set up a customer portal account for you, we hold your name, email address and a securely hashed password, together with the sites, service due dates, certificates and invoices relating to your account. For security and compliance we keep an audit log of portal activity - sign-ins, failed sign-in attempts, document downloads and uploads, password changes and acceptance of our terms - including the date, time and IP address. Portal accounts can be deactivated on request.

Who we share it with

Only with providers who help us run the business - such as our accounting software, email and form-handling providers - under appropriate safeguards, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for up to two years. Customer service records and certificates are retained for the periods required by fire safety legislation and our insurers, then securely deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@dandgfire.com or on 020 3651 6861. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
